The 90s era seems to be making a huge comeback. We saw that in music with the return of TLC and now we’re seeing it in movies?! Yes, it’s true, a sequel to the classic movie Jumanji which originally starred the late Robin Williams, is set to release this December.
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle has an all-star cast lineup including Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The setting takes place in the “game,” hence, the “jungle” with clues that was left behind by Williams’ character Alan Parrish. High school kids stumble upon a video game that they found in the attic and turn into the characters while finding themselves trapped into the game aka “the jungle.”
Critics may argue that the classic movie shouldn’t have a sequel and that this movie could have been fine alone. Being a fan myself, I can understand that perspective and taking such risks can definitely be a hit or miss. I’m just hoping this one is a hit regardless of the amount of years it took for them to come out with a sequel.
What do you guys think? How do you feel about this sequel?
